CFIF Promotes Heritage Weaving with RAFI

In October, the Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation (CFIF) furthered its advocacy for heritage and community development by conducting a weaving workshop in collaboration with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI).

Held as part of RAFI’s ongoing efforts to preserve Filipino culture, the session was primarily attended by RAFI employees and offered both introductory and advanced weaving instruction. Participants engaged in hands-on learning that highlighted weaving as both a form of artistic expression and a sustainable livelihood opportunity.

The workshop emphasized the cultural value of traditional weaving practices while also introducing practical techniques that could be applied for community-based income generation. CFIF’s involvement reflects its ongoing commitment to blending creativity, heritage, and inclusive economic development.
